All you need is LOVE!

Whoaaaaa!!!
I have not posted anything since November my friends! I am so sorry about that! Truth be told, I have been out of the country for a whole month! We decided to spend Christmas in Peru with my family (I am originally from there, in case you didn't know). My husband stayed with us for two and a half weeks, and I stayed for a month with the kids. My Grandma's 78th birthday was on January 11th so many relatives came from overseas and from other parts of Peru to celebrate HER. I was so blessed that my mom offered me to fly over to Texas with the kids and me; otherwise, I don't think I could have been able to come back on my own with two little kids (cheers for all those brave and strong moms who do that!).

Anyways! After giving my whole reason of why I have been absent for so long, I would like to do a little reminder of things I have for FREE and paid products for Valentine's!!!

First, I wanted to share one of my favorite Valentine's freebies. I think Mr. Heart came out really cute! Your students could write a letter to another friend in the classroom, or write about what they like about Valentine's or write about a favorite part of a valentine's story! Your options are endless!!! PLUS, I think they would look so cute on a bulletin board, don't you think?? Click HERE to download it :)

So after Mr. Heart, I felt pretty cool, but then I found these AMAZING pattern paper that I HAD to buy!!!! Don't you agree with me???

So after a few hours thinking what cute things I could do with these papers, I thought about a real envelope that kids can do! I'm HORRIBLE with origami, so I hope you are not expecting that awesome and complicated method level of origami! HA!
I looked on Google for EASY ways to make an envelope, and I found soooo many options! Most of them were too hard for this teacher :|
I found this great website where there are many different templates, but I didn't want to go that far at this time, I just wanted simple steps and not having to make copies of the pattern and cut and so on... HOWEVER, if you would like to check it out, please DO! She really has great ideas different websites for different types of envelopes! Click HERE to take you there :)

I also found this picture with steps on how to do an envelope from a heart shape. So I thought it would be cute for students to write a short note on the back of the heart (the blank side), make the envelope, and just glue it with a foam sticker or something that when you open it, you would open the whole letter at once!
I got this picture from The Crafty Blog Stalker

Here are my pictures and how my envelope came up :) Not so perfect, but I think it would do the trick...

Then, I found this picture, I thought it was pretty simple and the steps were pretty clear, so I gave it a try.. I am NOT good at any of these things, so believe me when I tell you: "If I can do it, so can you!" I got this picture from Making Friends

I personally skipped the pattern and I tried to skip steps that I saw they were not a big deal. Mine didn't come up as perfect as it shows on the picture (of course, that happens when you skip steps on the instructions! Lol). However, I think for students and the purpose of it, it was pretty good! :)
These are my pictures on how my envelope came up :)

So along with this cute envelope, I created a Free letter pattern for kids to write a letter to a friend.... I think the best way to do this (so everyone gets a letter and no one gets more than anyone else), might be for them to choose a partner or you can even choose partners randomly!
This freebie comes in both English and Spanish with two different styles! Hope you like it as much as I do :) Click HERE to download this letter for FREE :)

NEW Reading Response Booklet, excellent for ANY BOOK!!

Hello again!
Yes! Two days after my last blog post?! oh yes! I was too excited to finish my NEW Booklet, so here I am again!
I would like to share with you all my NEW Reading Response Booklet! This time, I have created something you can USE WITH ANY BOOK! :) It is PERFECT for Read Across America!
I am so happy with this product and I think you will, too! I started with the Paper Bag idea, but then I thought: "Two are better than one!" Don't you agree?!?

This cutie patootie (Can you tell how excited I am?!) is a mini paper bag booklet! Very easy to make! All the reading responses sheets are cut and glued on the pages inside!

Then I thought about making a simple version! Just staple the reading responses sheets underneath the craft and this cute book craft turns into a booklet!

You might wonder what's in the inside?! Well here is the list of things it contains:
1. Favorite Book
2. B, M, E graphic organizer
3. Main characters
4. Reason why this is my favorite book
5. Making connections
6. Favorite part of the story
7. Character Traits
8. Problem of the story
9. Favorite Character
10. If you met the author
11. Change the end
12. Characters Change
13. Rhyming
14. Book Paper bag Craft AND Book Craft

As you can see my friends, this is an awesome way to engage your students and also give them some liberty on picking the book they want to focus on. It also gives YOU the liberty to use it any time of the year and for any book! Lastly, I want to say that you don't have to use all of the reading responses sheets, you can choose what to give your students at that time for that specific book.
I hope you find this new product very useful and want to check it out at my store! As usual, it comes in English and Spanish :) Click English or Spanish to take you to the TPT product page :)

Well my friends, that's all for now! I hope you are looking forward to this upcoming week! I know I will be helping out a friend by reading a book for Read Across America. So I'm pretty excited about that! I'm taking both of my "babies" this time, so wish me luck! ;) Have an awesome weekend and a fantastic week my friends, see ya next time!

September Linky Party and Giveaway!

Once again, I am really excited to be back for our monthly linky party and giveaway!! :)

Since most of you know, I'm staying home with my 2 year old baby girl and my baby boy of 4 months old. When "pollita" was almost 2 and I was pregnant, I did some volunteering at the school I used to work when I was teaching. I got a chance to volunteer during the best time of the school year, book fair! :)
I got to see so many new books that I couldn't resist to buy them! I don't know about y'all, but I just LOVEEEEEE Caldecott books! I love them so much, that I wish they all came in Spanish (could I translate for them one day? haaaa! I wish THAT!)
For some of you who are not really familiar with this award, The Caldecott Award (click on the link to take you to their official website), is a medal that is given to the illustrator of the book every year.
Anyways! I saw this caldecott medal winner of 2015 (they always get my attention!), named "Beekle." The front cover "was starring at me" and whispering to me "take me!". So I asked my friend, who is the librarian about it and she couldn't say anything bad about the story! I automatically started to read it and I could NOT just leave it there by itself! So I brought it home with me :)
I am telling you people, if you have not read it or own it yet, don't wait! The illustrations are AMAZING (Duh! Caldecott winner right??) and the story just melts my heart every.time.!!! It's about an "unimaginary friend" who does not have any friends in his own world, so he goes to our world to look for one! He is sooooo cute I could just squeeze him!!! :) This is a great story for ANY TIME of the school year, but I think it suits EVEN BETTER at the beginning to teach those little fellas about making friends!
Here is a peek of a few pages of the book:

Long story short (not so short at this point though), I decided to do a reading response booklet along with a Free Sample :)

This sample DOES NOT INCLUDE THE CRAFT... You will get a taste of what's inside the Reading Responses Booklet. The first two pages of this set is for you to enjoy and try it...

The free sample comes in both English and Spanish in one whole document. So if you would like to download it, please click HERE

If you would like to know more about the rest of the booklet, here is more information :)

Linky Party - Have you heard of Beekle? I just felt in love with this book!

Hello everyone and welcome to our monthly linky party!!
Today I am really excited to share this freebie with you! :) Like most of you know, I am currently staying home with my daughter and expecting baby #2 in May (EEKKKK!!!!). However, since "Pollita" has been older and more active now, I try taking her to different places to socialize. That also means I get to socialize! I had a few great opportunities at the school I used to teach to do some volunteering at the library! I have done some read aloud sessions and the last time I was there I volunteered during the best time of the year, book fair!

During my volunteering hours, I got to see so many new books that I couldn't resist to buy them! I even had to go through them three times because I was basically taking wayyy too many! (sounds familiar to any of you?) Anyhow, while I was pulling them out to build this huge tower of books, there was this book that caught my attention! This caldecott awarded book (they always get my attention!), named "Beekle." The front cover "was starring at me" and whispering to me "take me!". So I asked my friend, who is the librarian about it and she couldn't say anything bad about the story! I automatically started to read it and I could NOT just leave it there by itself! So I brought it home with me :) The ideas of what things I could do with this new friend and imagining how I could use it in my classroom wouldn't stop running through my head!

So I started a Craft Reading Responses Booklet. And of course, I needed to do a Free Sample of it!!
